Our Story
Over the past five decades, Summergate has built a reputation as one of the premier land development, homebuilding, and property management companies in the Twin Cities and throughout the nation.

Our roots can be traced back to the 1970s as a home builder. As the need for new lots to build homes on increased, our company started venturing into the land development business, finding that we weren't the only builder in the Minneapolis market that needed access to more developed land. We also learned we had a knack for picking prime locations and the ability to develop high quality neighborhoods.

Our Team
Our team is small by design. Fifteen people, all based out of our Lakeville office, work across land development, homebuilding, and customer relations. That size is intentional. It means the person you talk to about your land, your floor plan, or your new home is someone who has been with the company for years, not a name that changes every project. We hold ourselves to the same standard whether we are negotiating a land deal or walking a family through their new front door. Honest answers, steady communication, and work we are proud to put our name on.

More than 50 years of buying and building homes, commercial buildings, apartments, and land developments across the Twin Cities. That range of experience across every side of the business is still what shapes how Summergate operates today.
Casey Wollschlager
Chief Operating Officer
More than 20 years of experience leading land development and apartment acquisition teams. He oversees the day-to-day operations that keep Summergate's projects moving from planning through completion.
